Help us to build classrooms
When Gavaksh was started, we did not even have classroom. But all the volunteers required was a space to teach. So we started off by conducting classes under a tree. Yes, nothing was going to stop us. As time passes, Archana, our founder, made repeated request to the Sarpanch of the slum (where we are based) to give us some space so that children did not have to be moved out of the colony. Given her persistence, he eventually relented and let us buy a small plot. This room continues to be our classroom for over 80 kids from the colony. But that’s just the story of one classroom. To include more kids in the Gavaksh centre we need to expand our classrooms. Plus, we also have expenses related to daily activities of the classrooms. We also conduct many workshops in our classrooms so that the children can enhance their creative skills. For that we get experts in the fields that we plan workshops around. Support us in our causes by helping us expand as well as run our classroom activities and workshops.
